We are pleased to invite you to attend the „Alpine Anatomical Research Conference“ to be held in Obergurgl (Tyrol, Austria) on 5th to 8th of April 2020. We are planning an expert meeting on novel developments in the morphological sciences covering all aspects of Anatomy and Histology including Functional Anatomy, Neurobiology and Developmental Biology. The study of the morphological basis of cellular and organ function remains a subject of tremendous fascination in the life sciences and a key to better understanding of human physiology in health and in disease.
This conference will provide a meeting point for the top experts, mid-career scientists, post-docs and students in the various fields of human and animal morphology. Previous keynote speakers include Joachim Wittbrodt (Heidelberg) on fish eye development and Sebastian Jessberger (Zürich) on neurogenesis. For 2020 Valentin Nägerl (Université de Bordeaux) has accepted our invitation to present recent findings on super-resolution microscopy of the brain.
We want to particularly encourage young scientists to present their projects and participate in lots of informal discussions with colleagues and faculty in a relaxed and stimulating environment.
The Congress fee of appr. 400€ covers registration and 3 nights (double occupancy, reduction for students) at the beautiful University Center Obergurgl and includes breakfast and dinner (as well as wellness facilities). At this time of the year we may expect perfect conditions for skiing, cross-country skiing, snow-shoe and Nordic walking. It is possible to prolong your stay if you wish to combine the scientific meeting with your holidays.
With kind regards,
Erich Brenner, Stefan Britsch, Christoph Viebahn and Lars Klimaschewski
